Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

With three-quarters of individuals already using personal mobile devices in the workplace, it is becoming increasingly important to ensure your organisation is controlling the usage effectively. Formally allowing this can offer great benefits for companies, as it can increase worker productivity by letting them use technology they are familiar with, while also reducing the need for spending on new corporate devices. But more importantly, implementing a formal policy for this ensures you're able to control your staff's usage.

There is no one-size-fits-all BYOD policy that will suit all businesses. Senior management, IT, Human Resources, Finance and Legal functions need to work closely together to determine an organisation-wide BYOD policy.

After substantial evaluation, Khaleej Al Ma’arefa has created a set of 12 essential steps which organisations should consider when creating an enterprise-wide BYOD policy which you can download here.
